Hi everyone,
I know this website is mostly for traveling, but I was hoping you all could help me out.
I got an internship in Berlin for the summer and I need to find an apartment. I've been there many times before, but only to visit, never to live.
What areas would you suggest that I look into?
I'm a 22 female college student who enjoys the nightlife, is not posh (I've heard some neighborhoods in Berlin are quite extravagant), loves foreign (not just German) culture, loves cute cafes, restaurants, shops, etc. I'd like to live in a trendy artsy neighborhood with a lot going on.
Any suggestions?
Also, the place I'm interning is in between Kreuzberg (which I heard is cool) and Treptow. Its on Reuterstraße.
Thank you so much for your help!!!

mcfish123, that's great news about the internship in Berlin - what a great city to live in!
Belrin is, mercifully, one of the cheapest cities in Europe in which to rent. The areas which you could consider are Kreuzberg (very funky, and already on your list), Friedrichshain (very popular alternative scene, reminds me of pre-Wall Berlin) or Prenzlauerberg (was once the darling of the alternative scene, some now consider it a little too mainstream, but I think it still has a fun side).
Good luck with your search and keep us posted.
