Hey All,
Tell me if I'm going overboard here, but I'm wondering if any of you would comment on the amount of clothes I plan to bring for the 3 month trip. Based on the dates (March 10-June 18) and the location (Colder Areas until May, All Mediterranean from May on) do any of you think I should not take certain items or add other items? Let me know.
2 Long Sleeve T-Shirts 3 Short Sleeve T-Shirts 1 Microfleece Sweatshirt 1 Long Sleeve Button Down Shirt 1 Short Sleeve Button Down Shirt 1 Pair Jeans 1 Pair Khakis 1 Swimming Suit / Shorts 1 Pair Khaki Shorts 1 Light Jacket 5 Pair Boxers 7 Pair Socks 1 Pair Walking Shoes (nice though) 1 Pair Flip flops
One thing...we're wanting to go to some clubs while we're in places like Berlin, Barcelona, Greece, Ibiza, etc. Is the collared shirt essential or would a long sleeve t-shirt (single color...I'll have a white and a charcoal grey one) be just fine? I tried fitting it and it doesn't feel too bad at all on my back (and the overall size fits alright).
Any input would be great, we're very excited (as you can see by us going to the lengths of posting our "clothing inventory"!)
Chris

Looks pretty good to me Chris.....were it I I'd add a sweater of some sort, something a bit nicer than a sweatshirt for cooler nights/mornings....especially if you are looking for 'club' wear. And for the record, no need for 7 pairs of socks...they wash out in a jiffy and dry overnight, but hey, they also take up little room and don't weigh much. Good job! Doesn't appear you are 'over packing' at all. And I would include the button shits for dressier wear although realize they will likely be a wrinkled mess by the time you want to wear them! ;D

To be honest, neither of these shirts (while button down) wrinkle up much. One of them is a North Face one that, when wearing it, seems more for hiking but it looks like a normal long sleeve, button down blue shirt. The materials should hold up alright, I hope. I also got that Eagle Creek "folder" organizer thing. The one that has the plastic card you fold your shirts and pants around and then stack them up and the sides strap over and bundle it all up. I figure that should keep them unwrinkled, right?
I think I'll probably drop the amount of socks down to 5 or so and include another sweater (a nicer one I think). Thanks for the tips! Any others, send em along!!
(By the way, in about 2 months, expect to see a post from me somewhere in Germany saying how it was useless thinking I could get unwrinkled shirts. We shall see though!! Preparation often prevails!)

Hahahah! You always end up bringing stuff you won't use, but somehow before you left you felt it would be so important! Next time around, you take this item out, but there's something else...hehehe!

i'd lose the jeans. they're heavy, and they take too long to dry.

Here's a tip...depending on how comfortable you are with your body...I would do what I'm doing. I'm bring a couple dress tees and a couple black tops..thin...small...and a tan one. Dress tees are great because they're easy to play up with great jewelery. With my experiences, women in Europe don't tend to dress much when they go out...that's not what I'm suggesting, but go small, stretchy, and go black.

I would just like to say that I personally think that European people tend to dress up a lot when they go out, but maybe that depends on what sorts of clubs or bars you go to.
I also believe that the packing depends on what kind of trip you're planning. For me it's a part of the trip to get to wear nice clothes, especially in big cities like Paris and Rome..! :-) But if you're only staying one night at each place it might not be to recommend.
