I'm DYING to see it. I'm slightly obsessed about going back to Italy at the moment - I'm driving my boyfriend crazy about it!
I was in a European import store the other day and was drooling over the cans of imported olive oil and that sort of thing. I can't stop thinking about it!
Escaped_deskjob_nowBack - maybe you could write us a report in the "Just Back Reports" section about your trip? Like where you went, places you stayed, what you thought - that sort of thing? I'd love to read it!

It doesn't seem like a year since I posted this and we had a big discussion on how American and Canadian thanksgivings are on different dates! Anyway, happy turkey day... YUM! Can't wait for the pumpkin pie, Kim

So I'm in the process of thinking out a new look for the site.
I'm trying to think of a good slogan that we could use for guideforeurope.com
I've come up with a couple but would love to hear yours.
What I've thought of:
guideforeurope.com - Experience the adventure.
guideforeurope.com - We've got your back (pack).
guideforeurope.com - Backpackin' it.
guideforeurope.com - Dream it, plan it, do it.
guideforeurope.com - Dream it, plan it, live it.
guideforeurope.com - A single dream leads to a thousand adventures.
guideforeurope.com - Bring on the adventure.

I'll start...
On average, 100 people choke to death on ball-point pens every year.
It's against the law to pawn your dentures in Las Vegas.

Anyone want to take a shot at these?
1.
EAR NOTHING EAR
2.
N W O D
3.
The one who makes it sells it. The one who buys it doesn't use it. The one who's using it doesn't know he's using it. What is it?
4.
How many letters are in the alphabet? (Note - the answer isn't the obvious!)
5.
A boy was at a carnival and went to a booth where a man said to the boy, "If I write your exact weight on this piece of paper then you have to give me $50, but if I cannot, I will pay you $50."
The boy looked around and saw no scale so he agrees, thinking no matter what the carny writes he'll just say he weighs more or less.
In the end the boy ended up paying the man $50. How did the man win the bet?

So I'm totally disappointed - you know how I said Diana Gabaldon was coming to Chapters? They posted info now - it's being hosted by Chapters but held at the music conservatory (which is across the street from my house!) but they are charging $7 a ticket!
What the hell!
And I'm sure you have to line up outside for seats - that's what you had to do when I went to see Rick Steves speak there (handy being across the street!) and right now we are having terrible weather.
Undecided if I want to go - I think it's kind of a rip off honestly, considering she is supposed to be promoting the book. You have to pay $7 to hear her promote the damn thing!

Oh my lord, definately ME. I love the Outlander books. I was disappointed with her last book though.
She is doing a book reading and signing on the 19th here and I am ALL over that.
I remember my aunt lent me the first book and I was skeptical, thinking this is so not the kind of book I enjoy. Then I got hooked!!

Here's the thing.. we've gone from getting a new look to a complete redesign of the site! It's a huge project, I'm hoping to unveil it November 1st.
I think you will like it Patrick, it's pink and of course the purple that you love so much! ;D Oh and neon, did I mention neon?
Seriously, the logo is amazing, the design looks great - you are going think you've gone to another site!
Some of the pages will be completely redone, others might just get a color change for the time being if I can't finish it all.
There are a bunch of new things on the new site too - sections on How to plan your trip, how to plan your route, money matters, download guideforeurope.com deesktop wallpaper etc.
It's gonna be hot!
Kim PS Ging had a sneak peak and loves it too, so it's passed the test of one of the toughest critics! ;D

So it's time for a new look.. We're getting some new colors (this should make you happy, Patrick ;D) and a professionally designed logo. I already know the new color scheme and am looking forward to see what the design company comes up with for us. They have 4 designers working on the logos. All the merchandise will feature the new logo so if you are interested in getting one of the logos available now, you better get it quick! Plus, you also get a custom desktop wallpaper that I will be able to share with you guys.. anyone want a guideforeurope desktop? So, in the next week or two if you happen to visit and the purple is gone.. don't worry, you haven't lost it! Kim
