Is anyone else watching American Idol? There are some baaaaad singers auditioning!! I don't get that people can't hear that they can't sing! I know for one that I can't carry a tune to save my life!  Kim |

I was hooked to the show last night. Couldn't believe the how many of them actually thought they were good...the only place I would let my voice out is in the shower.
There was one girl you might remember, she was a Mariah Carrie fan and even looked a bit like her but when she started singing...boy o boy she was awful. Then the Enrigue look alike who wouldn't take no for answer and just coming back with some story.
Got to luv Simon sometimes he knows how to say it but he can get carried away. Hopefully it's a guy this time.

Yeah, that guy was a freak-it's pretty bad when you have be escorted out and lie to people saying they asked you to come back!! ;D
I thought those twins were good though and there was one other girl I remember thinking, man she can belt it out but I forget who.

I watched it for the first time last night, I saw a clip of last year's on the internet at some point and it was pretty funny so I thought I'd check it out.
Man, where do they get the guys for this show they can't sing to save their life. That's all I'll comment on about the uh 'guys' as I'd like to keep the board p.c.
As for the girls, they can have the best voice in the world - if they aren't good looking they're gonna end up on the adult top 40 or something. If they want to be "popstars" they have to be hot or nobody's gonna pay any attention to them. I mean really, do you think I like Britney Spears because her music is good?
As for Simon, he's great. He makes the show whether you like him or not. Well, I guess it helps to have 10,000+ fools that can't sing auditioning in crazy gettups.

I agree about those two, they rocked!
And you know who else I think is really good-the marine. He has a really pure voice.
I was also surprised about the twins going but I think they did a bit too much of the "we're one person" thing, I think that probably turned the judges off. Every time they sang, they had to do it together.

Keith sang, "Like A Virgin" by madonna and is now known as the Worst Singer in the World.
I'm surprised that blonde girl stephanie didn't make it through either, even if she couldn't sing great, she'd sell.

He was the one growing his hair out for the American Idol, he sang "Like a Virgin", then they asked him to sing another cause he was so bad!

I'm going to have to go with Charles and either Kimberly or Julia..I think one won't get picked but the judges will pick up the other one as a wild card.

I'm glad Julia made it through. I didn't like Kimberley much at all. I think Julia's better looking too. They sure dragged out the selectiongs tonight.

I was glad that Charles did, he seems so sincere and nice! I like his voice as well.
Betcha Kimberly comes back to haunt you as a wild card, Patrick.
I liked them both but Julia annoys me for some reason. Don't know why but if I knew her in person I think she would seriously get on my nerves. I was kind of hoping that someone out of the blue would get chosen, like that Meosha or something.
No one really stood out though, some were better than others but no one was really amazing. Next week looks more promising..

Wild Card...after the viewers have chosen the winners going to the next round, the judges then get to choose the one who they thought should've been in the final 8 or 9 (not sure the about the #s).
I thought Kimberly should've been the one. Julia didn't have that unique voice kimberly had.
