Well, future husband will be happy..
He's playing hockey in a tournament all day today and left me with the job of trying to get Canuck playoff tickets when they went on sale online at 11am.
Last year, it was a nightmare - I couldn't even connect with the site because too many people were trying to access it so he didn't end up with tickets (actually, he might have bought some scalped ones in the end, I forget)
Had some good luck today though! You are only allowed to get 2 per round per household address so I had my moms credit card as well.
Got him: Round One, Game 3, two tickets at the 66.75 price range (major score) Round Two, Game 3, two tickets at the 110.25 price range Round Two, Game 3, two tickets at the 137.75 price range
He wanted me to try and get 4 tickets to each but Round One went incredibly fast and were sold out in minutes.
In other news, we are going over to Vancouver to the Oilers/Canucks game in 2 weeks. Considering I'm a Canucks fan (supporting the locak team!) and he's a HUGE Oilers fan, it won't be pretty!

Wow! Those are pretty good deals! So because you worked so hard at getting him playoff tickets, does that mean you at least get to go to the games with him?!

Yeah, doubtful. ;D I seem to only get to go the "lesser" games, if you know what I mean. His boys or his dad always go with him to the important games.
But honestly, I don't know how they do it for the weekday games. They go over but then have to catch the Nanaimo ferry back cause it leaves 45. minutes later than the regular one which they can't make. Then they drive back from Nanaimo, getting home around 1 or after that, depending on who they have to drop off. Then he has to be up at 6:30. No thanks!
I only go to the ones that aren't on a "school night"! ;D

In Toronto you'd better have season's tickets or you're most likely out of luck for the playoffs!
Vancouver had a really entertaining game tonight, glad to see them beat Dallas!
We'll have to get a playoff predictions thread going once all the matchups are set. The East is a mess right now though!

I know we say it every spring, but keeping with tradition I'm going to have to say this is Toronto's year! Rest up Nolan, we need you back

Let's hope you'll still be able to use those Canuck tickets you have left! They're looking awefully confused out there, but I still have faith!

I'm getting a little stressed - this is our last chance or we are out!! I still have faith too.
I have a battle with a Flames fan at work - as in, I'll come back to my computer and there will be a drawing of a Flames logo on it etc. If we win tonight, I have the blue and white streamers ready and his office is mine!
It all started months ago when he was telling me he was Flames fan and I said I didn't realize the Flames actually had fans.. ;D (with apologies to any Flames fans reading this.. haha)
I do like Auld in goal though, I hope they stick with him.
I think anyone coming to Canada at this moment would think we were all crazy - I know it's a Canuck frenzy here right now - I'm sure it's the same everywhere.
Dali/Rookie, I'm sure it's a Leafs frenzy there as well, do you guys have Leaf car window flags? They're everywhere here.

Haaha, yup it's a frenzie, everyone is standing outside the Bell Center, waiting to see if someone will sell them last minute tickets. People are all wearing their Canadians (habs) t-shirts, everyone is going NUTS! When they say canadians = hockey maniacs, they are right. Even if I don't watch it much all year round, the finals just get to me!
Good luck to all!

I think I have a stomach ulcer! The Canucks really know how to entertain us......the hard way sometimes! Canucks and Habs on Monday....
P.S. - Morrison for PM!

That's so funny that you would put that cause I just emailed dustoffmom the same thing before I read that!
Holy crap, that was close.
I don't know what happened after that beautiful lead - everything just fell apart.
I owe Morrison for saving my butt - I talked some serious Flames trash again at work, you think I would have learned my lesson!
