So, you've heard a lot about my travels problems lately!
Well, here it goes.
I will be studying a semester in Freiburg, Germany, from May to July next year, as in 2006, as in less than a year!
Wombats (Klaus) have agreed to pay for the ticket, knowing what a great experience it is and that it's the same price of a ticket anyways. I will fly into Frankfurt or so, instead of Vienna, without any problems or oppositions on their part. Then, during my stay sometime in June, I will take the train to Vienna to stay a couple of days for the opening of the new hostel!
WICKED ISN'T IT?
I'm on a cloud 9! And a friend will be coming with me so the 2 tickets are covered, the money issue too since I will be getting a grant and this is a major leap for my career!
WOUHOU

Why will your grades take a plunge? I should think this is one wonderful opportunity and can't see how it should effect your GPA?

jen, which uni do you study at in mtl? ging... often studying in a second language makes your grades plunge (has happened to me!)... i don't know how fluent jen is in german, but you inevitably read slower in your second language so everything takes longer and exams sometimes don't go as well... that's been my experience and many of my friends...

it's been a while since i was there, my info is probably out of date, but i'd be glad to share any i have.

I studied environment at McGill. Although Concordia is generally considered our rival, not UdM. Is french your first language or are you already studying in a second language?
