checked your blog. i see now you're in Gundelfingen, way out north of Zähringen, even. i lived in a building on Sautierstr, not far north of Kaiser-Josef-Str. i see on the Amtlicher Stadtplan, a web-map, that the Uni now has some buildings near there. one is marked Naturwissenschaften, natural sciences. it was nice to be close to the center, but that place was really awful! btw, could you provide more english, or maybe a German translation, in your blog? you've got 3 short paragraphs in English followed by 10 in French! how are your non french speaking fans sopposed to keep up? haven't been to Freiburg in years! how's the town doing? where are you living?

HAHAHA i didn't even think of that david! speaking both languages is so second nature to me here! lol! i can deff relate to that. When i'm traveling within the US i have a hard time remembering that not everyone can also speak spanish. While in disney there was this puerto rican family in front of us with the cutest little kid, i kept making faces to him and telling the mom how adorable he was. Then i commented how fast the lines were going to my sister in english. This obviously anglo woman looked at me shocked and said 'you speak english!! and like yeah.... she then said, but you were just speaking to this woman in another language! i said yeah.. err i'm from miami, everyone there is pretty much bilingual. I had the nicest conversation with her, i loved talking to her cuz she had the nicest southern accent! but back to you then , i just ran your blog entries thru a translator. It's not the best thing but i got the gist of what you were trying to say

I will make big efforts guys! Yes David I live in Gundelfingen but its great, really. It takes me no more than 20 minutes to get to the center, really perfect for the price and a SUPERB place and stanncie, thanks for the cleverness, this way you dont complain lol JULIE : I bought a Kathy Reichs book! Cross bones. It wasnt out near my place, and I found it here hahaahha If you want, instead of mailing it home to myself, I can mail it to you lol well see anyways hahaha DAVID : im sitting on the corner of Kaiser Joseph strasse, well, damn near the corner anyways heheh I NEED YOUR HELP : WHERE TO GO? Im leaving tomorrow, have free time until the 16th where i have to be in Köln (Cologne). Where to go? France... I dunno, not motivated ,too much to see and i want to go far, lol but cant really if I want to be back oh well by the way, my blog is now accessible directly by www.julyblossom.comxxox Jen

OK, between Freiburg & Köln: - there's Baden-Baden, where the super-rich used to play - there's Mainz, with the Guttenberg museum and a beautiful, unusual looking, cathedral - there's Aachen, where Karl the Great ruled much of Europe. - there's Bonn, Germany's former seat of government.
do any of those appeal?
- d
PS. close to Freiburg, take the cable car up to Schauinsland for some nice views.
btw, the spell check here doesn't like extended ASCII characters
