My friend went to Paris and LOndon a couple years ago with the school they used car washes too raise the money (when it can time to go they justb had to bring spending money)they stayed in hostels I believe they did gave a discount but I guess its up to the hostel if they want to give one or not. They flew in to London took the tube to Paris and used local transportation to get around each city. They also did an exchange program with a school just outside of paris so that week they stayed with the person they were doing an exchange with(but everyone met up to see the sites) My friend loved it! They only had I think 2 or 3 teachers to a group of 15 I believe and everyone came back in one piece. Well goodluck with the planning! Jocelyne

Hey Are you going May of this year??? I'm going for 54 days starting on MAy 9th of 2006. Anyway I think you should figure out exactly where you want to go (which cities), we narrowed ours down alot so we can actually get a sense for most places. The more you know about where you wanna go in each country the easier it is to determine what to save. You can't do paris in an afternoon and if you think you can then why bother going there. I have a week scheduled for paris and I won't see everything.
For our 54 days and including the flight from toronto to london we are looking at 3,800 CAD (for transportation around europe and from hostels) Which isn't bad so 5000 will pay for everything basically except spending money.
Anyway good luck with the travel plans!

I'm travelling with my friend to europe in Late May/Early June 2006 we were suppose to go for 3 months but our plans have changed on account of we have a friend getting married in August and my friends the maid of honor so she has to be theree to help with wedding stuff. So now we have a shorter trip planned because we've been planning forever and don't want to miss it if we don't have to. Heres what we have so far:
Fly in to London 7 days in London 5 days Dublin 5 days Amsterdam 7 days cologne 7 days prague 5 days lyon 7 days barcelona 7 days paris and then back to london
Any ideas on what kind of transportation we should take is it worth buying a rail pass or should we just fly? Thanks Jocelyne

I know I'm going to get homesick when I go away for the 2 months I'm prepared for that. Its silly theres this big lit up ALCAN sign in kingston and as soon as I see that no matter where I go I feel home and safe.

even if you could sleep in a cementary would you really want to? I mean I don't know about you but that would be freaky I don't think I'd have to worry about sleeping....the smallest noise would give me a heart attack....but at least I'd be in the right place ;D

I'm going to have a Canada Flag on my pack its part of who I am. Its all just personal preference I doubt your going to be looked down on or be treated different...if you want a flag on your pack sew one on, if not no big deal!
