First off, here's the info on Canadian Idol if anyone wants it idol.ctv.caNo, I don't really think Carmen is amazing looking, but she's my favourite of who's left. I disagree with the Kimberleys being better though... especially C. Lets just say Kimberly C hits the low notes real well. Not to criticize your grammar CuriousToronto, but that was the funniest pluralization - the "Kimberlies" - even though it was probably accidental, it's pretty funny. I agree with you about the voting though, I doubt many teen boys sit on the phone and vote, I'm sure the girls do though which is a good safety net for Clay and Josh probably. They can sing however they want and they'd still get some votes.

Patrick.. she's your favorite over everyone that's left? I'm resisiting the urge to say that you are on crack.. ;D (OK, not so much resisting.. LOL) I was laughing at CuriousToronto's comment about how her eyes pop out, cause they do!
I do agree regarding Kimberly C. though, Patrick!

No, you're correct - I would be on crack. I didn't clarify. I meant she was the best looking of all the girls left, I actually think she's the worst "singer" out of all of them, including the guys.
Yes, her eye's do pop out... if we're commenting on people now I might as well mention that to me, Trenyce looks like a goat.

15 April-----Tax Day here in USA Genre for tonight is Billy Joel! Great songbook to choose from....too bad some did not chose wisely. My pics for tonight follow: Hands down, IMHO, tonight's winner is Kimberly Locke! New York State of Mind a fabulous choice for her and she nailed it! I loved her and Frenchie initially...then she sort of dissapointed big time but in the past couple of weeks is coming back on strong......the only winner tonight! next three best: Reuben - Just the way you are......always good, but he sounded rather 'croaky' to me tonight.....not his best performance, but still better than most Josh - would have laid a 100 to 1 bet he would sing Shameless (and almost posted as such once I heard the genre) but he surprised me and sang Piana Man......and did a really good job with it. BUT.....this boy is a country singer and no matter what he sings it will always sound like Garth trying to sing pop. Clay- well smack me silly...the boy finally sang a different song and sounded pretty darn good doing it! Tell her about it....a pretty upbeat thing and if you did not watch him singing it, same facial expressions which Simon noted, he sounded great. The three ladies fouled out tonight.....from worst to most bearable...IMO of course.... Kimberly C - Still Rock and Roll.......why is this girl still here? ? Billy Joel has thousands of songs, why would she select something so ill suited to her? If she is not gone this week I will know something is rigged! Carmen......And so it goes....again.....who suggested to her she could sing this song? And what in god's earth was she wearing??? Trenyce......Baby Grand.....was this performance for an Oscar? How overworked and overwrought was this?! So......,my 2 cents worth.....will be anxious to hear what y'all think! ging

I totally agree with everything you said this week Ging.. but I especially want to dwell on the "what was Carmen wearing?" I mean.. yikes! You would have thought a friend or family member would have steered her away from that bad boy, I could barely concentrate on the singing (which was terrible) because of the outfit!
Thought Josh did a good job-one of the only ones this week that seem to put any energy into it. It seems like they are burning out.
Rueban-good as always but kinda raspy. My boyfriend has said he was raspy from the beginning but this was the first time I actually heard it.
Trenyce-there is something about her I can't get past. Those faces she makes for the camera or something-I don't know.. I think she'd look better with a few pounds on her, her face looks sort of skeletal.

Billy Joel night... one problem, I would have liked to have seen Billy Joel on the panel! Simon was at his best tonight, telling Clay he didn't like watching him and pretty much telling Carmen that his ears were bleeding and she should shut up. Unfortunately I can't comment on everyones performance since there were three hockey games on but from what I saw it was pretty bad tonight. Rueben was so so, didn't really shine. Clay did his little fingers thing again after his normal 'routine' performance. Kimberely C was awful from what I saw and Carmen wasn't good either. And yes, I think Carmen stole a bridesmaids dress or something. I don't know if Kim maybe saw this? there was a commercial for Canadian Idol and it showed the judges, I don't think I recognize any of them. One is a record exec that's a simon look alike. That's the one thing about the Canadian Idol is it will be odd with different judges. If you ever watched the Popstars show, I think I saw one or two episodes, but the judges were so lame. It was like having 4 Paula Abdul's on the panel. Hopefully it will be a bit more interesting. Hey Kim, trying out for Canadian Idol by chance?? ;D j/k One interesting thing about American Idol still is as they lose contestants, seeing how they fill all the extra time they have left over.

Ummm.. no, won't be trying out for Canadian Idol.. LOL.. trust me, if you heard me sing, you would beg me not to! I can belt it out in the car though!
I know, it's not going to be the same with different judges. I watched a few episodes of Pop Stars too but it was boring! The Canadian take on things is often a little lower budget.. good old Canadian programming!
I didn't see the Canadian judges though, I will watch tomorrow and see if they show them again. I would love to go watch the auditions somewhere though, I think it would be a good laugh. Not good enough for me to get on the ferry but close!

As for Canadian Idol: On TV, a while back, they said two of the judges would be David Foster and Shania Twain. Although, I highly doubt the latter considering her CD and stuff. Anywayz, just finished watching the show...........I was at the opera last night so my mother taped it. WOW! That was horrid!!!!! Seriously I was looking forward to Billy Joel songs.............. Kim C - This I think was the worst performance of the night. Although she had some competition for that spot Carmen - she's dressed terribly from the beginning (starting with those ugly pink pants at the wild card show). Anywayz, still think she was better than Kim C. but they're right -- she needs to go. She should have never been there. Trenyce - I think her dress was very unflattering. Pity. I also think she did really badly. And the cabaret/Las Vegas revue thing is wearing a little thing. And I agree with the facial expressions -- scary. Kimberly L. -- FANTASTIC!!! I actually have to say I think it was the best performance of the night. From the beginning I thought she was the ONLY girl in the top 12 who was really good. Unfortunately, I think she hasn't grown on people and she won't be top 3. Pity 'cause I think she should be. Josh - that was good. He does a lot with what he actually has. Wish he had more. Glad he changed his look and tucked in his shirt. Ruben - not so good tonight. He did sound like his voice wasn't that clear near the end. I think he hung on and didn't crack. I agree with the need to shake it up a bit -- he can totally do up tempo stuff. Clay - that was really good. Surprising though 'cause I thought he would choose a Billy Joel ballad. And to be honest I think it might have been a better choice (the ballad). Either way I think he did well..........he should ignore the suggestions to dance though. I won't bother predicting who will get kicked off tonight. I know people vote funny. Although I think it should be either Trenyce, Kim C. or Carmen.

>>>>>>>Clay - that was really good. Surprising though 'cause I thought he would choose a Billy Joel ballad. And to be honest I think it might have been a better choice (the ballad). Either way I think he did well..........he should ignore the suggestions to dance though.<<<<<<< Hell, I don't want him to dance, just quit making those faces and as Patrick has pointed out, stop with the fingers! In truth, I like his voice....but can't see him as anything but a 'one-hit-wonder' down the road. Once you've heard him sing, anything, you've heard him sing, everything. But have to disagree that he should have chosen a ballad....it is all he has sung thus far and what was garnering him the most flak. He totally HAD to do something this week different or be on his way out....which I think he ultimately will be soon. BTW....100% agree....Kimberly C has just got to go this week! Barbie dolls can't sing and neither can she...no matter how cute and coy she is

Yeah or Carmen, either one of them. Although Carmen seems to have a weird cult following (that includes Patrick ;D) so here's hoping for Kimberley C. Hosting a bridal shower tonight so I'm going to have to tape it. Why oh why do I say I will do these things? Kim
