So here's the lowdown this week as I see it: Kim L. - very good performance. Really really good. I think she keeps on improving and she may just pull a "Kelly" on all of them! (coming out of nowhere to beat the favourites -- last year Tamyra and Justin and this year Ruben and Clay) Josh - Man............that was bad! I think he's done well to get this far. He just doesn't know his voice well enough yet. I feel he was the worst last night -- but he won't be the one to go. Trenyce - yup, I think people have outgrown her. She has had a couple of good performances but now they just look silly. She makes funny faces, opts for some unflattering clothing, and just generally feels like a lounge singer. The thief thing isn't helping her either. I think she will be the one to go tonight! Carmen - can't believe she's still here. I thought last night she kept the warbling thing under control. Probably one of her better performances. Having said that she's just not good enough! I don't know if she was faking confidence and shock or if she really believes she's that good............Point is she's way out of her league....WAY! Clay - I thought he did really well! He softened up his voice and didn't belt out the entire song. He tried to put some real emotion into his performance. I also think his look is getting better. I was impressed. Ruben - I loved him! Truthfully though he just makes me smile. I really feel he should win the competition. Either way he'll be top three. I thought he changed it up a bit -- went for more of a boy-band song and used his upper register. Very impressed. I didnt' know he could do that. My prediction for the bottom three: Josh, Trenyce, and Carmen. Who will go: Trenyce Worst last night: Josh Should have never made it this far: Carmen Who will win: Don't know............. Truth is I think the top 3 are obvious. I just don't know who has the best fan base. I think that Kim L. (as good as she is) might not have the support to put her through. In that case we might see Carmen get disgustingly far.

What a great night! I'd be hard pressed to choose 'the best' between four of them.....they were all terrific tonight. One of them is gone, gone, gone......was so far behind the others as to be worthy of sympathy for having to be on the same stage....and that one is..... Josh......there was a time I really thought he might win this thing....no more. He is out of his league with these other four. Even Tranyce blew him to kingdom come. It was painful to watch him. Of the remaining four.....if I just had to say this very night who is going to win.....probably Reuben.....but any/all of them are good enough and proved it tonight.

I have to agree with the last post -- tonight was fantastic! Here is how I see things: Ruben -- he was great. He's always great. He makes me smile! There's just something about it. But as much as everyone loves him I'm not sure he'll win anymore. Trenyce - I know she tries but I just don't like her anymore. It seems like the samething every week. And I really do see her in more of a revue or singing adult contemporary music. Just not for American Idol. Although, I'd like to see her go tomorrow it won't be her. Josh - He's not happy there anymore and it shows. I feel like someone should just kick him off and put him out of his misery. I have to wonder with him having a wife and a child if this is the life he wants for himself. He's more country -- he should head to Nashville and try to get some of the joy back. I would be VERY surprised if he didn't leave tomorrow!!!! Kimberly - she's got a great voice. I have to admit I wasn't crazy about the first performance. It just didn't do much for me. But the second one was really really good. I really can't tell where she ranks in the competition anymore -- is she #2 or #3 Who knows................. Clay - WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW! I thought he was insanely good tonight. By FAR the best of the bunch. This is the first time in the competition that I looked at him and thought the winner should be him and not Ruben. This is going to be tough -- I have no idea who will come out on top! And his version of SOLITAIRE -- blew me away!! Seriously it was so fantastic it moved me........and it takes a lot for a song to move to that extent. I thought I might cry. All I know is I'm REALLY looking forward to when they get down to the final 3...........it's going to be tough to see who ends up top 2. It's a really tough call at this point.

I actually expected Ruben to be in the bottom 3. But I didn't think it would go as far as the bottom 2. BUT after they called his name I actually thought he was going to be the one to go. NOT 'cause he deserved it but because everyone on the internet message boards seemed to be all gung-ho on Trenyce after last night. I'm glad Ruben is still around -- he dodged a bullet! I honestly thought they were going to Tamyra his butt.......... As far as Josh. I still think he can redeem himself. He's not a bad singer but lately he's gotten a little bitter. Tonight during his solo he sang really well. If he goes back to singing like he was singing at the beginning he'll do well. Way back at the beginning I actually thought Josh would be top 4 or 3. I guess he made it...............it's just not the way I thought he would! I'm not sad to see Trenyce go

Well I am no fan of hers by any stretch of the imagination......but she sang rings around Josh last night and Reuben in the bottom two? Sorry, just can't see it, and from his reaction, Josh knew he should have been gone as well. Saying this as one who had Josh as my fav up until week before last and now feel he is outclassed here.

Yeah, I'm not sorry to see Trenyce go either, she can sing but she doesn't do anything but annoy me.
Josh, I also thought he would go far in the beginning and I really liked his voice. Now, he seems to be not interested and has taken a nose dive. Maybe he even wanted to get the boot? He's the obvious choice to go next but you just never know, now do you!
Rueban didn't deserve that at all, he was outstanding. The only thing I can think of is that everyone figured he was a shoe in already and started voting for someone else.
Wish I could vote!

You can't vote? Why?

Our Canadian selves are banned from voting due to our nationality. Oh well, I've gotten used to it. Just like I've gotten used to the fact that I can't apply for the AMAZING RACE --- OH NOPE............Wait! Yeah, that one still bothers me!

Speaking of the Amazing Race (which just happens to be the best show ever made! ;D), when does the new one start? I've been waiting forever!

I was anticipating that the new AR season would start this spring. My guess is it got delayed 'cause of the war. I would LOVE to be on that show! I think I'd be really good at it..................... Sigh...................'tis the life of a Canadian sometimes.

Oh for heavens sake......who decided the BeeGee's music would be a good genre to use? Don't get me wrong, I like their songs, but that falsetto does not lend itself well to most singers. Nothing else to say about tonight......all were good, all were not so good based on the material they had to use. Frankly, I was bored with it all and surfed through most of it. No one shined, no one bombed.....it was all just so-so. Bad choice of music on the producers part....none of these four have the voice/range to sing this shit. But......few do.

It's time for the weekly review................. Don't know what to make of the show this week. Didn't enjoy it nearly as much as last week -- but then again nothing can come close to that version of SOLITAIRE. Now I don't think that they sang badly. I just don't think many people can do BeeGee songs. Anywayz, here goes: JOSH - he was back!! I honestly have to say that if I were adding up the two performances together to determine the best overnight -- I would give it to him! I know many would dissagree but I just think he was on. It was so good to see him looking other than tortured. I particularly liked the second song. CLAY - I think he kind of went back to his over-singing style. His version of "To Love Somebody" in my opinion was not as good as Josh's. Not because I think Josh has the better voice (I don't) but because Josh sang it with the sort of sensitivity that the song requires. And in terms of the second song -- I don't know. See, there have been a lot of people on the internet who have wondered if Clay was gay -- I frankly don't care! I don't know..........all I know is that my mom and I both think that the second performance (and the outfit) could encourage people to think that. And I don't think it's in his best interest to have people think that -- 'cause we all know that's why EJay got voted off first last year. Let's face it he had the best voice out of the boys. I don't care if he's gay or not. And I don't mind the performance but I think he's best staying away from performances like that -- just in case! PLEASE don't flame me for this -- I'm just being completely honest! KIM - On the first song I don't think it was her fault but it wasn't very good. I think the problem was the background vocals were too loud and instead of complementing her they were competing with her. The second song though was really good -- very smokey and sultry. RUBEN - I think he had the same problem with the first song that Kim did. Again, it's not his fault either. The second song was A LOT better. Now I don't know if it's just me but the warm fuzzy feeling has worn off with Ruben! I'm still pulling for him but I just don't feel he's delivering as much. He's kind of reached a certain plateau and he needs to get out of it -- quick! BEFORE they Tamyra his butt! Overall I think Josh did better than all of them. But if I were looking at best single performance it would have to be either Ruben or Kim's second song. I don't know dudes, this one's tough to call. The voters react when they think their "contestant" is threatened -- that makes it hard to predict. Either way I'm going to go out on a limb and say that I think Josh WILL be in the top 3. I'm also going to say that I hope both Ruben and Clay stick around -- I'm banking on the final being the two of them. As for Kimberly -- I guess it depends on the loyalty of her fans. I don't know. She might just go. BUT then again I was sure Josh would leave last week........so I wouldn't listen to me either! Oh can I also add that I think the only person who could have sang this really well was Corey.........
