Hey Ray! Sorry to keep bothering you. Unfortunately the weather here is terrible and my flight was delayed, so I end up in Europe 2 days later than originally planned! Really crappy, but we're trying to make the best of it. So our plans have changed so that we are now leaving from Cologne to Prague. I was wondering what the CHEAPEST way to get from cologne to prague is no matter how long it takes (maybe night bus?). I couldn't find prices on the site you gave me before, and was wondering a ballpark region (as we have already wasted money on no cancellation bookings). We will now be in Prague Wednesday the 21st, Thursday 22, and Friday 23. I know you said you were only available weekends, but if you happen to be available any of those times we'd love to meet up and hear what you know about Prague! Thanks again for everything. Kaley

Hi Ray! Thank you for your speedy response last time! Amazing! Very glad to hear the winter weather isn't too bad over there. It's FREEZING here in Canada right now. That Couchsurfing group sounds very interesting. Hopefully we are there on the weekend of one of their get togethers! We are arriving in Prague on Thursday February 22 at about noon, and we are leaving late at night on Saturday February 24. We actually had a question about that. We are looking to take a night train from Prague to Munich on the night of the 24th. I was looking at Eurolines and it has perfect times and prices (leave at about midnight for $30) but it was only offered on the 23rd and 25th. I was wondering if you knew of any other bus lines, or the cheapest way we could get from Prague to Munich the night of the 24th (we just want to be in munich for about noon the next day so it doesn't matter what time it leaves). Maybe there's another bus line that does this? How long it takes really doesn't bother us at all! If you have any input I'd love to hear it! Sorry for the late notice. I understand if there is no time to reply. If not maybe I'll see you in Prague!! Thanks so much for everything! Kaley

Hi Ray! My friend and I are going to be in Prague February 22-24, so we have 3 full days to spend. I have read all of your previous posts and know which sights you recommend seeing, but it seemed like some of the sights were based on their greenery/flowers. Since we will be there in February, I was wondering if you had any different suggestions. We're both 20 and are also interested in the nightlife/pubcrawls. I know that there won't be many people but it's when my reading week is, so it was my only option. I know this is late notice, but I just found this section today. If you get this before February 14th, I'd love to hear your advice!! Thank you! Kaley

Hi everyone! I am going to Germany for Oktoberfest VERY shortly!! My best friend is living in Munich, and we were looking for somewhere to go for two or three days. She was thinking maybe Bern, but after trying to get some information on here about Bern I have been swayed to suggest Gimmelwald. It will be from September 30-October 3. My friend says that it is really cold in Munich right now, so my question is whether we should go to Gimmelwald or not, since the main appeal seems to be its hiking/scenery. I'm just wondering that since it's such a "must-see" if we should see it during the summer another time (when I will surely be back to Europe). Other city suggestions are also more than welcome (seeing Berlin already in this trip). Thanks so much! Kaley

Hi again! I previously posted about travelling to Germany to meet my best friend in Berg. We're basically using the exact itinerary you guys suggested! Love this site!!! Thanks again!! Anyways, as our trip is rapidly approaching we have a few more questions, especially concerning our time of travel (Feb 15-Feb 28). Since it's going to be cold and snowy (i assume), we were mainly wondering if there are sights we should skip (because it won't be green) or extra sights we should tack on, outside of the normal tourist season sights. Our itinerary is: Feb 15,16 - Cologne (for carnival!!!) Feb 17, 18 - Innsbruck (we're not really sure what we are going to see here, but we want to go skiing in the Alps..any suggestions? Also, I'd like to do a hike..not sure if we can fit in skiing/hiking/seeing the town in two days) Feb 19 - Salzburg (hoping to do a Sound of music tour..if it's available in the winter? -or maybe hike here - how close is Zell Am See to here? Also read a post about the Eisriesenwelt ice cave which sounds really cool? Any thoughts?) Feb 20,21,22 - Vienna ( we're thinking about cutting this down to 2 days. we aren't museum/art people and think it might be sufficient? we're not really sure what to do/see here - I have read the vienna posts tho, so might just go by those) Feb 23,24,25 - Prague Feb 26, 27 - Munich/Berg I know that is a TON of questions, but if anyone has any advice on anything we'd really appreciate it!! Thank you!! Kaley

Hi! I am going to Germany for my spring break and I was wondering if anyone has any input as to what I should see, what I should skip. I am in Germany for 12 days. A little background - I'm 20 years old and I'm travelling with my best friend who is working in Berg, Germany right now. I am not super into art or museums but I can do a few. I fly in and out of Munich in February. I was thinking about maybe Austria or Switzerland? If anyone has any input I would love to hear it. I went backpacking in Europe last summer and this message board was SOO helpful. My trip wouldn't have been the same without it! Thanks! Kaley

Hi again. We're just finishing up the planning for our trip to Europe and we can't decide what to do with our extra two days. We want to see Pompeii for sure and we've heard that Sorrento and Capri are nice as well. We have heard (mostly from this site) that Naples isn't a nice place to stay at all. So our question is if we should stay in Naples to see Pompeii and possibly Sorrento, or if we should just do Pompeii as a day trip from Rome. Maybe another possibility would be to stay in Sorrento and see Pompeii and Capri as well? We're really unsure about what to do. Preferably as cheap as possible, but we don't want to miss out on anything just because of the financial issue. Any opinions or advice would be awesome! Thanks again. Kate & Kaley

Hi again! We finally registered..this is definitely our favourite site ever! Okay anyways, we have been making quite a few posts on various topics, and you guys have been tons of help, although we still have a lot more questions! Any help anyone can give us would be awesome. Okay so our itinerary (with your help) so far is: Arrive in Nice at 7am - spend half the day Nice, half the day Cannes - sleep in Nice Next morning go to Monaco for half the day then travel to Cinque Terre. (Not sure how long this is going to take us) - Sleep in Cinque Terre ..here is our first question. Where in CT should we sleep? We know that there is a hostel in the 4th town, but does it make sense to travel to the 4th town on the first night since we would have to backtrack to see the first 3 towns? Spend the next day and night in CT. - Also, I believe in a previous post Eagle asked us if we knew the route to get to CT...and the answer is no...haha..we would love your help. The only thing we could find was a train from Genoa to La Spezia. Not sure if that is the right way. Travel to Venice the next morning (or should we stay in Cinque Terre for the day and travel to Venice at night?) Sleep in Venice. Spend the day in Venice. Sleep in Venice Spend the next day in Venice. Travel to Florence at night. Sleep in Florence. Spend two days and two nights in Florence. (Day trip to Pisa..possibly Lucca and Siena?) Travel to Rome the next morning. Sleep in Rome. Spend 3 more days and two more nights in Rome. Travel to Naples the next morning (the only reason we’re traveling here is because we want to see Pompeii mainly..and maybe some other towns around this area. We have heard people talking about the Amalfi Coast and Capri..not sure if this fits in to our schedule or if they are worth traveling to) And here is our main question..we fly out of London..and we’re thinking of spending a day or two here. We are wondering what the CHEAPEST way is to get to London from where we are. We have been looking at flights from Rome (which prices seem to be increasing day by day) and aren’t really sure what to do. Do we travel from Naples area back to Rome...then fly out of Rome to London. Or do we just skip the Naples area altogether because of the cost...(is the travel cost from Rome-Naples...Naples-Rome worth it?) Sorry for the length of this post, but we have so many questions we thought it might be easier to follow if it was all in one post. We would love any information/advice on any of these questions. Thanks so much! Kate & Kaley
